Access drug and alcohol support services in Mandurah

Do you or someone you know need advice on how to quit or reduce their alcohol intake, or usage of prescription drugs?

We understand that it can be hard to ask for help, or even take that first step. Sometimes, it even just takes knowing the right questions to ask.

Whether you’re worried about your own substance use, you’re concerned about a loved one, or you just want advice, at Brecken Mandurah we provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to share your health concerns and access the help you need.

Run by your GP, we empower you to be honest and upfront, safe in the knowledge that everything you share with us remains confidential.

All levels of need are supported, and our drug and alcohol advice and support services include:

  • Assessment. This is the starting point of your journey. Your GP will talk with you, understand your concerns, and provide you with information about your potential treatment options.
  • Education. It’s important to know the signs to look out for, or things that could indicate that you or a loved one may have a substance use problem. We can provide you with information and materials to help you learn more about substance use and how to get the help you or your loved one needs.
  • Mental health support. If you find yourself struggling with substance use, the mental toll can often be significant. We work with you to create a plan that helps you identify and work towards managing your addictive behaviours.
  • Counselling. Your GP can provide you with a Mental Health Treatment Plan that lets you access subsidised counselling appointments.
  • Telehealth consultations. Our telehealth services allow you to speak to your GP and get the advice and support you need, removing some of the physical barriers to accessing this important service and making it feel fully confidential.
